BG Kerry L. Muehlenbeck, will present the Purple Heart Medal to an Iraqi War Veteran at the Arizona Military Museum (5636 E McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85008) on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at 8AM. MOPH will have a contingent of Patriots at the Ceremony. On National Purple Heart Day, it would be great if you could attend. If attending please wear your Purple Heart hat/cap/shirt.

By awarding the Copper Eagle and Copper Sword Awards the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Society (AVHOFS) recognizes individual Arizona non-veterans or groups whose actions contributed significantly to the benefit and well being of our military, our veterans, their families and their survivors. We welcome all persons of good moral character who are awarded the Purple Heart Medal by the Government of the United States AND are Active Duty or have Honorable or General discharge are eligible for active membership in the Military Order of the Purple Heart of the U.S.A.

Requirements

Purple Heart

Living veterans or activity duty personnel who have been awarded the Purple Heart.

Documentation

DD214 Member-4 or Service-2 with Purple Heart Award AND Honorable or General discharge OR

DD215 (if Purple Heart Award, Honorable or General discharge is not on DD214)
